This ensures that all participants show up as informed, respectful, and empathetic partners in the local communities they visit and within the diverse group of international birthworkers they will collaborate with. Objective: Participants will learn the importance of cultural preparation, not just for interacting with host country cultures but also for engaging constructively with fellow participants from various backgrounds. The course includes expert panel discussions, interactive quizzes, and reflective exercises, all aimed at promoting a deep, respectful understanding of the complexities involved in cross-cultural exchanges. Through this course, Wombs of the World demonstrates its commitment to ensuring that all participants are well-prepared and mindful of the cultural sensitivities that accompany working in global maternal health. This preparation is vital for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and enriching experience for everyone involved.
